IB programme objectives
To train children and young people to be citizens of the world when it comes to culture, language and learning to live together and to promote respect for universal human values.
The IB Diploma Programme was created in 1968. In Spain the International Baccalaureate was introduced in 1977.
To stimulate curiosity and research to boost the spirit of discovery and love of learning.
To incorporate the diversity and flexibility in teaching methods and establish appropriate forms of assessment.
To encourage interdisciplinary learning and to equip students to acquire the necessary culture and knowledge and apply them in a wide variety of skill areas.
IB programs are offered in almost 4,000 schools around the world. More than half are American schools.
